This Week's Obsession: Street Style, Fav Bags

Sumptuous suede jackets, ethereal sheer skirts, bold leopard-print outerwear, cozy scarf-like jumpers, and the iconic Alaïa’s Le Teckel bag – what do all these autumn hero buys have in common? They are not just occupying prime positions in our shopping carts; they are also defining the street style scene with their unparalleled flair and sophistication. With Fashion Month gone for yet another season, we invite you to join us in reminiscing about the standout looks that graced the streets outside the shows.

There is absolutely no denying that suede is having its moment in the sun this autumn. Models off-duty and even Vogue editors have been spotted celebrating this trending texture in their everyday wardrobes. Take, for example, the chic showgoer at Milan Fashion Week who effortlessly combined her suede shirt with a classic plain white tee and a pair of preppy check trousers. Not to mention, the much-coveted Alaïa’s Le Teckel Bag was an undeniable highlight, capturing the attention of fashion enthusiasts everywhere. This ensemble serves as a masterclass in embracing one of autumn’s hottest new trends in a way that exudes both subtlety and elegance.

At London Fashion Week, Vogue’s senior fashion editor, Naomi Elizée’s signature eclectic style shined through. Like Naomi, play with prints and textures with a striped baby tee, frayed denim midi-skirt, and pair of embellished pointed-toe pumps. Bonus points if you carry Bottega Veneta’s mini Jodie bag in a rich aubergine tone (above

There is no denying that suede is having a moment this autumn, with models off-duty and Vogue editors sporting this trending texture. During Milan Fashion Week, this showgoer paired her suede shirt with a plain white tee and pair of preppy check trousers. Alaïa’s covetable Le Teckel Bag was also hard to miss in the mix. This is a lesson in how to embrace one of autumn’s hottest new trends, but in an understated and elegant manner.

Are you eager to discover the autumn wardrobe secrets of Vogue’s esteemed Executive Fashion Director, Lisa Aiken? Renowned for her impeccable style, Lisa masterfully combines the season’s most sought-after trends with timeless wardrobe essentials, creating looks that inspire and captivate. In her latest fashion escapades, she graced the runway events in a striking zebra-print midi-skirt that exudes sophistication and flair. Paired with the chic, two-toned sandals from the iconic Proenza Schouler and complemented by the ultimate statement piece, Alaïa’s latest must-have accessory, the Le Teckel tote,

Lisa's ensemble was perfect for the transition from summer to autumn. Whether you're looking to refresh your own wardrobe or simply seeking inspiration from a fashion icon, Lisa Aiken’s autumn style is a testament to the art of blending contemporary fashion with classic elegance. And it seems like most of us can pull this look off without to much effort or expense.

Looks like the Le Teckel may be back in the voting next month, so keep an eye out.

A minimalist style mac coat might just be the hero piece you need in your wardrobe. Lightweight and practical, the jacket is a saviour during unpredictable rainy weather, and it still looks elegant when paired with a little back dress. Style it with fishnet tights and pointy kitten heels for a look that can go from the office straight to dinner.  And don't forget the perfect statement piece bag, the Proenza Schouler Silo leather bag in dark cherry red.

Finally a great casual look. When in doubt, go for a rugged leather bomber jacket this fall. The menswear-inspired jacket is making a comeback in a big way right now. Style it with blue jeans and a warm ribbed turtleneck for a no-fuss approach to autumn dressing. Don't forget your slouchy bag from, none other than The Row.

Love It or 'Hate' It? -- Statement Colour: Split-Pea Green

Red has long been the reigning champion on the runway, capturing attention as the accent colour of choice with its bold and fiery presence. However, fashion enthusiasts and trendsetters alike are now turning their heads towards an exciting contender: a vibrant new shade of green that is quickly gaining momentum.

Over the past few seasons, iconic fashion houses like Prada, Gucci (two photos directly below), Fendi, Burberry (above) and Miu Miu have dared to break the mould by introducing bags in a quirky pea green hue, challenging the conventional perception of what a designer carryall should loik like.

The hues of the green vary slightly from a yellowish green of this Prada Ayers Shoulder bag (above left) and to more of an army green on this Toteme Belted Canvas Tote (above right), which by the way is curated in our Vote Now section of the website. The green hue injects a delightful touch of eccentricity into any ensemble, transforming ordinary outfits into extraordinary statements. It's a playful twist that ensures every look is infused with an element of surprise and originality, captivating onlookers in the most delightful way imaginable.

I have to state that we are not huge fans of the split-pea trend. But again, it's another one of those, if you love it, definitely co-own it.  This is one of those trends that will come, go and come back again.  If you're going to invest in it, then do so for a fraction of the price. Best to have your 10 week's every year, than to own this one outright and have it sit in the closet when you're just not feeling it.

Let us know, are you green with envy and have to have one?
